Coding & Storytelling
Students plan a hook, get peer feedback, and code a 30-second story trailer with sprites, backgrounds, and music in OctoStudio.
Live online coding classes help students in grades 5–8 read, write, and think clearly alongside AI.
Taught by Madiha Marium, a software engineer and educator teaching coding since 2014.
Students learn to read code and AI responses carefully, and to spot mistakes.
Students practice giving precise instructions and explaining their thinking.
Students learn how AI tools work, when to use them, and why their own judgment matters.
Example projects show the kinds of things students can make as they learn.
All classes meet live online. Code Explorers starts January 6, 2027, and Introduction to Python starts January 7, 2027. Join the interest list to hear first when enrollment opens. Sixth graders can choose the class that fits their level.
Tell us your student’s grade and the class you’re interested in. It’s free and doesn’t commit you to anything.
You’ll receive an email with start dates and final class information.
If you’d like a spot, you can reserve one then. No payment is needed to join the list.
Examples of the kinds of projects students can create at each level.

Students combine code and design to create an animated, interactive greeting card, building communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
Students use Python’s for loops and range() to repeat steps, predict output, and test their ideas.

I build communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking through coding. Students connect code to subjects they already study, from the slope of a line and Newton’s laws to reimagining The Giver.
I love traveling, trying new cuisines, and hosting friends for dinner. I also speak Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.
